Question about King's Dominion Amusement Park in VA?

Elden Bardach: Not sure about the beaches and all that, but as for rides you should go on - definitely Intimidator 305, Dominator, and Volcano. The Backlot Stunt Coaster is also good considering it's a family coaster and Flight of Fear is nice since it's indoors, unfortunately those are the same rides as the ones at Kings Island, so you probably had been on them before. You really need to go on line for Volcano first though, the trains are small and so the line moves slowly and there's always a line for this ride. They have a drop tower that is pretty neat, so try that too if you like those.I think they have shows and stuff like that going on, but when I was there I was interested in getting as many rides in as possible.Have fun!...Show more

Lia Argall: Volcano is a definate must for riding. It actually shoots you out the top of the volcano. It's one of my all time favorite coasters. As for the rest of the coasters, since KD is owned by Cedar Fair which owns a! ll of the former Paramount parks (KD, Kings Island, etc), a lot of the rides will be either the same of simliar, like Flight of Fear.As for anything around the park, there is NOTHING around the park. No beaches, nothing. It is located right off the highway. The only things surrounding the park is a 7-11, Burger King, and I think a truck stop and hotel somewhere close by. If you want to go to a beach you'll have to drive about 2 hours south to either Yorktown Beach in Yorktown or Virginia Beach....Show more
