Nestor Klan: I find lyricism entertai! ning when it's deep/truthful/emotional stuff, i.e. Fashawn, Talib Kweli, and Aesop Rock, or when it's clever, i.e. Vast Aire, Canibus, and Doom, and sometimes when it's cocky, like braggadocio rap i.e. Jay-Z, Big L, and Rakim.First thing I'm looking for in a rapper is flow. Flow is most important, because it's the rhythms and rhymes that I'm listening for. My favorite rappers all have great/different flows, IMO. People don't like Aesop's and Common's flows, but I think they're nice--they "ride" the beats very well. Flow is probably the most subjective aspect of rap, though. Voice is also very important, but it's a natural skill, I guess. It's not really the final deal breaker if I like a rapper or not, but it kinda is if I'm gonna call him a favorite, though. I don't like Kool G Rap's and Krs-One's voices, I like them, but they're not favorites. Delivery is pretty important, too. Guys like Tech N9ne, 2Pac, and Ludacris get more replay value from me than Doom, Gza, ! and Blame One. Content is least important, because it's not s! o much about what you're rapping about (as long as it's a subject/topic I'm interested in hearing about), it's more about how well you rap. I like Young Jeezy and Lupe Fiasco pretty much equally. The Notorious B.I.G.Jay-ZNasTalib Kweli2Pac...Show more

Toby Women: Lyricism (in terms of rhyming schemes and vocabulary) is something I find very entertaining and usually what initially draws me into an artist. I always pay attention to rhyme patterns so when I'm listening to a song and notice the MC is doing some impressive stuff it will catch my ear.RHH: It's hard to place them in order, bu! t I'd probably go: Imagery (visual lyrics) > content > flow > creativit! y/originality > lyricism.RHH3: NasAndre 3000Cise StarrCommonBlack ThoughtEDIT: Wow, me and MJA have 4 of the same top 5....Show more
