Booker Warlick: 61,457 - $77,993/yrDon't know for sure about working for an orthodontist. I have never seen one at an ortho office before.
Raul Tllo: Orthodontist Hygienist
Blythe Noreiga: No. Orthodontists do not hire hygienists. They hire dental/ortho assistants. You can technically work for them but you are wasting your hygiene degree then.Hygienists make 25 to 40 bucks an hour.Assistants make 11 to 20 dollars an hour. If you were ahygienist and working for an orthodontist you would probably only make about 18 or 19 dollars in chicago. However if you worked as a hygienist you would make probably 37 an hour starting out if you worked for a general dentist.Orthdontists, endodontists, and oral surgeons all hire dental assistants only because they can pay them much less than a hygienist....Show more
Johnny Sirko: ive worked for an orthodontist that employed a dental hygienist 2 days per week, oral hygiene is a problem for all ortho patients and many ort! hodontic patients would benefit from regular hygiene appointments, also ohi is very important and removing any remaining adhesive from fixed appliances could be done by a hygienist so there is certainly a call for it!
Vince Delarge: I'm gueessing any kind of doctor pays well. I have looked this answer up on google and found that you can make a salary anywhere between $90,000-$128,000 per year.
