How come desktop LCD moniters are not made with the same plastic as other LCD displays?

Gaston Edgcomb: ITS POSSIBLE THAT THE MANUFATUER IS MAKING THE MONITOR WITHOUT THE FIBERGLASS COVERING BUT IT COULD BE AN OLDER MONITOR TOO THEY TEND TO USE THEM FOR PCS BECAUSE OF THE DUST FACTOR AND THAT U DONT CARRY AROUND THE PC MONITOR SO IT DOESNT NEED THAT PROTECTIVE SHIELD ON IT.

Arlen Hamper: Plastic? Why the hell would they use plastic to manufacture screens? It's glass. Simply put, some LCDs use glossy screens and some just use regular ones.
