Clinton Migliori: Giving it some thought
Autumn Vacio: It is the most important thing.
Elden Bardach: the most important thing any animal does is reproduce - have babies. From birds to mice to people. And we choose the genes we want for our offspring by what somebody looks like (beauty). And that's all there is to it. Nobody gives a fat crap about "inner beauty".
Melvin Nakama: The prettiest presents get opened first. (Think about it.)
Darnell Cutliff: Because appearance is important
Rose Krouse: We are biologically conditioned to do so. Even infants who have experienced no cultural conditioning respond better to the attractive.Good looks -- symmetrical features, smooth, rosy skin, abundant hair, and a well-formed body-- signal health and fertility to human beings, they suggest that the attractive possess superior genes. We're on the lookout for mates with the best genes, to pass down to our children, so we respond positively to beauty! .And since we do, the good-looking get certain advantages in society, which in turn reinforces the idea that attractiveness is important, so we are even MORE conditioned to respond positively to it.Sorry, but it's really something over which human beings have no control. Of course "inner beauty" matters, but it's unrealistic to think people will ever stop caring about the outer package.By the way, you need to get rid of that silly term, "inner beauty". What you really mean is character, personality, behavior. Those things are very important, but they are not somehow the "inner equivalent," or flip side, of physical beauty. These are two different things we're talking about. You can't treat them as though people should be drawn to the one but not the other....Show more
David Kuper: It's rare
Annabell Bevier: Isk
Felicitas Phildor: Simply - its what they see with the eyes. However, God looks at the inner person, the heart condition not the outer beauty w! hich over time changes. Some people can be beautiful on the o! utside but ugly on the inside. Meaning, the way they treat others can make them less attractive. Brian Freedland: It is not human nature to value physical beauty to the extent that we do today. If it was, then there would be a universal expectation, for example, no matter where you live in the world, it is beautiful to be skinny. This is false, though. Many countries find being heavy extremely attractive. During the Renaissance, women plucked their hair above their forehead because it was viewed as beautiful. They also used lead-based make-up. Physical beauty has been socialized to be an incredibly valuable tool because it is very beneficial to those that set the standards. 1. Want to be pretty?- Buy our make-up 2. Have acne?- Buy our product 3. Think you're fat?- Let us give you liposuction Physical beauty means money....Show more
Keven Drumgole: Reproduction
Tracy Huesso:! We value physical beauty as it's the first thing that attracts our attention. Furthermore, it's a measure of inner strengh and self-discipine!
Walter Scordino: dont knoww
Kate Baune: need
Dalia Causby: Cause it's important
Spencer Heidtbrink: Excellent question..........we never did...........being CHRISTIANS we worked more on our insides values. To keep one's self up is a good thing.........but to boost, to act better than others, or not groom themselves at all now is another opinion...........we prefer insides values and the rest seems to come across very well for my family.
Lon Pennington: Long ago many many many years ago there someone came up with what is called a beauty magazine it did really good and others followed suiteAmerican females and maybe some males ate it up and from there it began.I'm sure there are plenty more reasons to your question this is the first thing that popped into my head...Show more
Adrian Sherlin: its c! ool
Shandi Wedge: I honestly have no idea why! I ask myself the s! ame question! I think we value it because biologically, we are programmed to spread our genes! Therefore, we appreciate those with physical beauty! It isn't fair nor right! As a Christian, I always see beauty on the inside of a person! People can control their inner beauty... not their physical appearance which disappears when we age anyways! A wise person will focus on their inner self because they know beauty is not ever lasting! A foolish person will be vain! The relationship physical beauty and inner beauty are somewhat correlated in a linear fashion! When someone becomes more beautiful on the inside, they naturally become a more attractive person on the outside (vice versa)! I think it's stupid we place so much emphasis on physical beauty! No wonder why so many people in this society are so depressed. They are trying too hard to be someone their not because we are all so shallow. If only we saw inner beauty.......Show more
Matt Gerdeman: Becuz it's important to w! omen
Gladys Worthing: Cause we live in a superficial world
Robin Marchione: The aspect of physical beauty shows one's dedication to a healthy lifestyle. The inner beauty is the core of the physical aspect. Must not forget that age change but not inner beauty.
Davina Shindler: how healthy you are
